Ord that the Surveyor of Caldwell County proceed to run the line
between Livingston County & this & return a platt of the Same to
the County Court of Caldwell
On mo. of Elizabeth KILGORE Widow of William KILGORE decd. by her
attorny & for Reasons adduced to the Court It is therefore Ord
that Hugh KILGORE Guardian to Hugh KILGORE Orphan of Wm KILGORE
decd be discontinued as his Guardian & that the Sheriff of Caldwell
Co forthwith deliver to the Sd Elizabeth Kilgore her son Hugh Kilgore
from the possession or Guardianship of the Sd Hugh Kilgore also

At a County Court held for Caldwell County at the courthouse in
Eddyville on Monday the 3rd day of June 1811.
Present B. LANGSTON, W THOMPSON/Absent Alexr STEPHINSON. Gent.
At the request of Negro BEN a man of colour the following pass is
ordered to be recorded towit "Sullivan State of Tennessee
Beaver Creek Iron works May 12th 1806. To Whom it may concern
Whereas the bearer a negro man slave BEN is desirous to go with
his wife and children to Mr. John A. McCLINTOCK of Eddyville
Kentucky to live With or near her his wife during his or her
natural life these are therefore to request all persons with whom
he may be concerned to treat him with justice and humanity.

The Said negro is about thirty three years of age Knockneed, and
should he at any [p. 155--] time choose to come to me or my family
this will be his pass given under my hand the day and year above
Written, James KING of B.C.I.W. Tennessee"

On mo. of John P. GRAY & he making Satisfactory proof to the Court
It is ord that he be exempt from payment of County Levy on One pole
improperly chgd. which is ord. to be certd.
On mo. Elijah STEVENS & he making known to Court that he is com-
missioned as paymaster to the (55th) fifty fifth Regiment of the
Militia of this state & wishing to give bond & security for the
performance of his duty as such Whereupon he the sd STEVENS with
John PENNINGTON & William MITCHUSSON his Securities came into Open
Court & ackd. bond in penalty of $500
JUNE 1811, p. 158--
On mo. Crawford ANDERSON he is appd Constable for the Co of Caldwell
whereupon he comes into open court & enters into bond together with
Wm. ANDERSON & Vincent ANDERSON his securities in penalty of $500
and took oaths required
A Report of the Commrs. Wm. MITCHUSSON, Isaac BROWN who were appd
to procession lands in this County was this day returned in the
words & figures following which being inspected by the Court were
approved of was ord to be recorded towit "Kentucky Caldwell County
pursuant to an order of Caldwell County Court Wm MITCHUSSON Senr.
& Isaac BROWNE as commissioners to procession lands & perpetuate
Testimony have met this third monday in MAY 1811 at the house of
James GREER,decd. and then proceeded a tract of land of David
BROWNs on the dry fork of the Eddy called the south fork of the
Eddy & finding the time of meeting regularly published thro the
channell of the Farmers [p. 159] Friend, & the witness present
being duly Sworn & Sheweth three dogwoods which were fallen down
& two black oaks & there being three other dogwoods standing near
We marked them for corners as the patent calls for being Marked
GW S.S. and two black oaks and then to a hickory and post oak and
then to a hickory and dogwood, then to a black oak, then to two
black oaks and then to the Beginning, We do Certify that the
Witness William BROWN shewed corners corroborating With the
patent for Said Survey this 20th day MAY 1811. Given under
our hands and seals this day and date above

exempt from payment of County levy in future on two negroes towit,

exempt from payment of County levy and working on roads in future
AUGUST 1811, p. 165--
The last will and Testament of William GILLEHAN decd was produced
in open Court and proven by oaths of William BARTON & Levi GREER
two subscribing Witnesses thereto to Said GILLEHANs last will by
acknowledging and ordering it to be signed by one of the Witnesses
towit BARTON whereupon the same is O.R.
On mo & with leave of the court Jesse GREER is appd Executor to the
last will & Testament of Will GILLEHAN decd with the will annexed
whereupon he came into open court & gave bond in penalty of $1000
payable to com ky with David OSBURN his secy. who took oath &c.
