I seek a position which will allow me to exercise my skills as an object
oriented architect. I appreciate the opportunity to keep up with the latest
in Java and OO technology while sharing my understanding of OO architecture
and programming with others. A position combining designing, mentoring,
and consulting would be ideal. A teaching opportunity would also prove
I grew up on computers. I count in binary on my fingers.
My pager number was (256) 512-1024 (that's (28) 29-210)
until I moved out of range. I've taught pointers to many struggling
CS students. I did homework for other classes during my CS classes
and still got A's. In short, I understand computers - I've lived
them. Java is a good programming language offering a robust set of
OO development tools. But if you want to build a house, you not only
need the good tools, you also need a carpenter who knows how to use them.
My lifelong experience with computers makes me that carpenter.

Java is not a web programming lanugage. It is much more. I
can write server-side Java to generate HTML, and I can write applets (though
I'd rather not), and applictions, all in Java. QuickenTM could
be written entirely in Java, and I could do it.
I'm not interested in relocating. I just bought this house a year
ago, and my wife and I intend to stay here for quite some time. (40%
travel is fine, and I'm well equipped to work from home.)
