ADKINS FAMILY LIST
This is a discussion area for anyone who has an interest in genealogy related to the ADKINS family, including ATKINS, ADKINSON, ATKINSON, or any other related spelling. NOTICE: Although the ADKINS-L and ADKINS-D lists are open to all variants spellings,
there have recently been new surname lists created at Rootsweb. The lists are for the ATKINSON
and AKINS names. You can subscribe to as many lists as you wish. However, if you are more interested
in the ATKINSON / ADKINSON / ATKISSON / ADKISSON surnames, you may want to subscribe to the ATKINSON list.
If you are interested in the AKINS surname, then the AKINS list is for you. To subscribe to
the ATKINSON or AKINS lists, follow the directions below for the ADKINS list, but substitute the
appropriate name.
The list is not moderated. Any message sent to it is automatically bounced back out to everyone on the list. While I in no way want to stifle free discussion, as list owner I reserve the right to step in if a flame war erupts that becomes tedious for other subscribers, or if someone becomes unseemly (excessive use of profanity, for instance).
If you have a personal message for someone, please send it to their address, not the list server address. Any mail sent to ADKINS-L@rootsweb.com will automatically be sent to everyone on the list.
If you want to change from regular mail mode to digest mode, first unsubscribe from the mail mode and then subscribe to the digest mode.
MAIL MODE
Commands should be sent to ADKINS-L-request@rootsweb.com for those people in mail mode. For those in digest mode read on. The subject line is unimportant. All commands should be in the body of the message beginning with the first line. Commands include SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE. IMPORTANT - Turn off your signature file! Below are examples of how to subscribe and unsubscribe to the list.
