Directions for submission to Turnitin.com
In order to assure the security and integrity of the work we do in this class, all papers will be submitted to TURNITIN.com. Your paper will go into a database against which future papers will be checked for plagiarism. Papers are also checked against internet sites and a large database of books.
HOW TO DO THIS:
1. Go to http://www.turnitin.com
2. You can either go to the "Enter Turnitin" link where you can learn a little bit more about the service and what they do or go directly to USER LOGIN.
3. You will then be asked to create a User Profile.
4. You will then be asked for your email address and to create a password.
5. On the next page, you'll be asked to login with your email address and your new password. Be sure to indicate that you are a student at the "User Type" location.
6. Next you will be asked to provide your class ID and a password for your class. I will send that to you via your Pipeline Email.
Password: _______________________
Class ID: _______________________
7. You will then see your class on the screen. Click on it.
8. You will see your class page, click on TURN IT IN to upload your paper.
9. The paper submission page will then open and you must enter your name, paper title., etc. Papers can be submitted in MS WORD, WordPerfect, RTF files, or plain Text format. Follow directions on the page to upload the paper.
For more detailed instructions see the Student Quickstart Page provided by Turnitin.
It is important that you take this seriously, because I will not post grades for papers until the files have cleared Turnitin.
