ONE STEP POUND CAKE



GLAZE



Heat oven to 325oF. Grease (not oil) and lightly flour 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan. (non-stick finish pan, too.) (Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.) In large bowl, blend all cake ingredients at low speed until moistened

Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake at 325oF. for 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool upright in pan until lukewarm; turn onto serving plate. Cool completely. In small bowl; blend Glaze ingredients until smooth. Spoon over cake. 10-inch ring cake.



This is my family's favorite cake. It's easy, soothing, and is especially good with fresh peaches and cool whip. I always make one of these for Mr. Mobbs on his birthday.
