Dr. Mc's Study Session Recipes!

For years, I have been having study sessions in my home for my students prior to exams. We gather together in the family room, go over notes and possible essay questions, and I answer any questions that students have. I think some of the best teaching I do goes on during those informal hours. Of course, you can't study for hours and do it seriously without fuel, so I usually have goodies of some sort, and at Christmas time and at the end of the year we have a pitch-in dinner. In the Fall Semester, we'll do a snack and desert buffet and at the end of the Spring Semester, we'll grill out.

Regular study session favorites are my chocolate chip cookies, caramel corn and soup! Students have asked for recipes, and sometimes I get them copied for them and sometimes I don't. So on this part of my web site, I'm going to gradually get them posted, so that those of you who get hungry for "Rocky Road Fudge Bars" can bake away to your heart's content!!!!

All I ask is that when you prepare these recipes, think with fondness of your time at UNA, remember how excited (if not tired.....) you were to challenge your mind and learn about your field, but also remember that life's biggest challenge is learning how to know what's important and how to balance your life in the right priority. One rule of thumb: If you don't have time to make that occasional batch of chocolate chip cookies for someone you love, you're TOO BUSY!

If you want to request a recipe that isn't posted, just let me know. I'll do my best to get it on the site.

Enjoy!!!!
