Peter Hair

Peter Hair appeared in Pike County, Alabama, about 1835, with two children and no wife. He died in 1840. Pike County records exist for the sale of his estate and for the guardianship of his two children who were adopted by a Cannon family. There is no record if the Cannons were family.

Peter Hare

Peter Hare was raised in Moore County, North Carolina. He moved to Wilcox County, Alabama, in the early 1800's. He was part of a group migrating from Moore County to Wilcox County that included the Sheffields. His daughter, Rebecca, married Isaac Sheffield and raised their family in Wilcox County.
