John Tindall

John Tindal died in Henry County, Alabama, January 20, 1858. His wife, Jemina, had died eight days earlier on January 12, 1858. They left the following heirs: William David, who had married Margaret Smith; Mary A. E., wife of John M. Smith; Martha Sowell, a widow and minor who married Jackson Owens May 14, 1859; and Thomas Daniel, a minor. Jeff S. Konce was appointed Thomas' guardian.

At the time of his death, John Tindal's estate included 240 acres:

In addition his wife had owned SE1/4 of NW1/4 of S7 T8 R27. The records further show that he had purchased in 1855 20 acres from William Condry N1/2 of NE1/4 of SW1/4 of S7 T8 R27

Barnwell: Hensford D. Tindall' John V. Henry F., Mary D., david O., Samuel H., Martha R., Zacharia A.; Gr. children of Magdalene Holman, Will 1842. Dec'd dau. Ann Tindall. Probably Ann was Ann Holman Tindall, wife of Hensford or Henry? and daughter of Magdalene Holman.
Henry Tindall of Barnwell was granted land 12 Nov 1822, 53 1/2 acres, 47-72.
Henry B. Tindall is listed in Barnwell Implied Marriages in 1822 as husband of Ann Holman.

This is probably Mary, widow of a John Sr. and possibly mother of John of Henry County. South Carolina Wills lists John Tindall, Barnwell Co., Vol. 1, 1787-1826, Book A, page 32. Mentions wife Mary and "children" to be supported until of age.

Barnwell was created from land in Orange/Orangeburg County. This is probably John Tindal, husband of Mary and who died prior to 1820 census and possibly father of John Tindal of Henry County.
John Tindal of Orangeburg was granted 105 acres on June 1, 1794, 33-285.
