Ken Quinn

Very few viewers may recognize the name, but Ken Quinn is an integral part to the success of the Due South. When Constable Benton Fraser gets into serious trouble, such a villain trying to run him over with a car, it is not actor Paul Gross who takes these risks, but veteran stunt co-ordinator Ken Quinn. Gross does some many of his own fight sequences, and some stunts, but the harrowing material is left to one of the best in the business.

When Quinn was in Grade 5, he admitted to filching a book on the subject from the school library. After that, all he ever wanted to be was a stuntman. Today he earns up to $200,000 a year in his chosen profession: choreographing and performing in car crashes and chases, fist and gunfights, and leaps off buildings. Due South is not the first time he has had to work in a stiff uniform (as the red serge is notorious for that). He performed some hair-raising stunts as the cyborg hero in RoboCop: the Series, which included dangling from helicopters and being 'blown up,' to name just a few of the ardurous tasks.

Although stuntwork is his living, he has dabbled in acting as well. You can see him as the stalwart "Mountie Will" in the Due South episode, "Vault."

Quinn continues to keep active performing stunts on many series and movies.
