Brief Synopsis

Victoria's plan begins to come together after she kills Jolly. Fraser and Ray are investigated for passing money from Victoria's bank robbery, but does she want to destroy them, or force Fraser to come with her?

Detailed Overview

After a knife fight set against the back drop of a downtown zoo, Fraser manages to save Victoria, allowing Jolly to get away. But Jolly's escape is short lived; he is shot dead moments later.

Fraser believes that Victoria killed Jolly in self defense. But nobody saw the killing and Victoria seems to have disappeared without a trace. To make matters worse, the money Fraser and Ray have recently been spending came from the eight year old bank robbery. None of the evidence points to Victoria committing the crime in self defense; it all points to Fraser committing the crime in cold blood. And to put the final nail in Fraser and Ray's coffin, it seems that Victoria died two months ago.

But the woman from Fraser's past still needs one more thing from him...

Interesting Trivia

  • The poem that Fraser was reciting at the end of the episode as he lay on the train platform is The Windhover by Gerard Manley Hopkins.
  • The RCW 139 license plate appears on the car that Jolly is driving.
  • Watch Victoria's hair during this episode. Her hairstyle changes at least four times in the last 30 minutes. In the strip club, it's loose and curly; when she calls Fraser from the pay phone it's curly but pulled back from her face; in the car with Fraser after he goes through with the diamond swap it's straightened, loose, and parted on the side; and then minutes later at the train station it's back to curly and pulled back from her face. Her hairstyle probably changes due to these scenes being filmed on different days.
  • Paul Haggis (creator of due South) plays the man who closes the door to the adult store behind Fraser.
