An Eye for an Eye
Review #1
by Andrea Patrick
My review is for An Eye for an Eye. This is a very interesting episode. It involves senior citizens being terroized by a thief who steals and beats his victims. Well, one of his victims, Herb Colling decides that in order for the thief to stop doing bad things, he becomes somewhat of a vigilante, but instead of asking the police to help, he uses a bat to stop the thief dead in his tracks. It works for a moment, but the robber still comes back to harm not just him, but more senior citizens. So it's up to Fraser and Ray to set Herb straight before he really hurts someone, or himself. The ending is excellent. Herb threatens the thief with a gun, and Fraser tries to stop him from shooting someone. Of course Fraser figures out Herb's real plan, if people like him don't do something to stop crime in his neighborhood, then all the bad people will continue to come and terrorize them. But what Herb was trying to prove was wrong. I know that he wanted the thief to pay for his crimes, but the way he was going about it was wrong. It's one thing to face your attacker but to try and kill him, well that's wrong. My favorite part was when Dief was with an old lady and was wearing a hideous looking outfit. At the end of the episode, Fraser explains to Dief that all he's doing is keeping a nice old lady company for an hour, but Dief doesn't want to do it, so he runs away from Fraser while he's chasing him in order to strike a deal with him, but Dief doesn't want to. I thought that was funny, so did my mother who was watching it with me.
