Road from Princeton to a branch the other side of Wm. LAUGHLIN's

Court Order Book D,
APRIL 1822,
p. 9--
Ordered that Jesse PEMBERTON Jr. be and he is hereby appointed
a Commissioner to take in the levy of Taxable property in
Caldwell County for the year 1822 in School district No 10.

Ordered that Richd. BARNES?, Thos KEVIL Levi McMORTRY, John
WHITNEL and Robert WHITNELL (sic) be and they are hereby ap-
pointed Commissioners to view and Review the roads leading from
Princeton by Way Ben JONES to flyns ferry, also to Bellville
also View a way for a road to pass from Princeton to about half
a mile below Wm. LAUGHLINs on direction to flyns ferry & Bellville?
and report which of the two Roads will be of most public utility
and also to report whether the said roads Shall not be blended?
until this extend half mile below said LAUGHLINs, and then to
intersect the flyns ferry & the Bellville road as they now run
at Some Convenient point. And also report all the Conveniences
and inconveniences as well as all matters of fact Specially to
the next term of this court.

Ordered that Court adjourn until to morrow morning nine

they are hereby appointed Commissioners to View in addition
to North and South Streets, Second South Street passing by
the Clerks office and report whether in their opinions it will
be proper to establish one two or three roads and report as
before required?

On motion of Moses McWATERS It is ordered that William WADLING-
TON, Jas. H. BIGHAM & William BIRDSONG be and they are hereby
appointed Commissioners to Settle with Jesse GREER executor of
the last Will and Testament of William GILLEHEN dec'd. and re-
port to this Court.

apart her dower from the estate of decedant: Moses CROW, Job
CHERRY, & John MERCER.

Present John WEEKS, Holloway COLLINS?, Jeremiah RUCKER,
["Wm JOHNSON" crossed out] and John MERCER, Esqrs. John O'HARA.

George DARBY guardian to William H. [or A.] DARBY, infant, and
Orphan of Danl.? DARBY decd. who was Summoned by a former
order of this Court to appear here on this day, and shew cause
if any he can why his said Ward should not be bound out and
apprenticed agreeably to law. This day appeared, and being
heard as well as Wm. SMITH on whose motion he was Summoned;
and divers Witnesses being sworn and examined the court is of
opinion that the motion herein to bind out said child be Overruled;
and that said Darby continue to have the care and raising? said
Child & it is considered that said DARBY recover against said
SMITH his costs herein expended.

Ordered that the Sheriff take into his custody the estate of
Joseph SIMPSON decd. and dispose thereof acording to law.

On the motion of George J. B. CALDWELL and Ann SIMPSON who
having taken the oath of admrs as the law directs; and having
entered into, and acknowledged bond in the penalty of $3000.
payable to the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Conditioned according
to law. It is therefore ordered that Certificate of letters of
administration on the estate of Joseph SIMPSON decd unadmini-
stered by Reuben ROWLAND and Ann SIMPSON the former admrs. of
said decedant, in due form of law.

The last will and Testament of Jesse JENKINS decd. was this
day again returned into Court with the commission directed by
this court directed to Alabama to take the attestation of Levy
GREER a Witness thereto and also the Certificate of his attest-
ation and proof thereto annexed and was ordered to be recorded.

Ordered that R. A. PATTERSON, John H. PHELPS, Levy McMURTRY,
Joseph R. GIVEN, S.? W.? LANDER, or any three of them be ap-
pointed Commissioners to Settle with R. ROWLAND and Ann SIMPSON
former admrs of Joseph SIMPSON decd., and that they report thereof
to this Court.

The Viewers appointed by a former order of this Court to mark
out and View a way for a road the nearest and best way from
WILSON's mill on Tradewater to cross little river at the...
